Did Rep. Gerry Connolly’s (D-11) supporters destroy thousands of dollars worth in Chris Perkins (R-11) campaign signs? That is the alleged accusation in the contest for one of the few hotly disputed Virginia congressional seats.
From the Chris Perkins campaign:
The return of the official campaign season often brings out the worst in our opponents, and, more importantly, their supporters.
That is why it absolutely sickens me that in the past few weeks I have seen my campaign materials, including the two large signs pictured below, defaced likely by Gerry Connolly’s supporters (who else would benefit from destroying our signs?!?):
I need your financial support to help my campaign purchase replacement yard signs, bumper stickers, and other campaign collateral to help spread my message to the voters and return Virginia’s 11th Congressional district back to the people. These replacement materials were not in our budget, and are estimated to cost us an additional $10,000.
Did they really spell “R-E-P-U-B-L-I-C-I-N-S” on their vandalism? Only a Democrat would be that destructive and illiterate. If you’re going to deface private property, at least properly spell.
