Yesterday supporters of traditional marriage stood hours in line at their local Chick-Fil-A restaurants to counter the liberal assault on the food chain. The end result was nothing short of historic as the chicken sandwich eatery broke the world sales record:

In case you missed it liberals have been up in arms that Chick-Fil-A President and COO Dan Cathy had the audacity to publicly support the biblical definition of marriage:
Finally, Dan Cathy came out: “Guilty as charged,” he said in one interview. He then channeled a pretty good Pat Robertson, worrying over how God might smite a country living up to its Constitutional promise of equality for all. Good for him; he spoke his truth. LGBT people know the courage this takes.
Cathy is free, of course, to use his private company and its profits any legal way he sees fit, just as other restaurant owners were once free to legally seat “coloreds” separately. Indeed, we don’t have to eat there and have our own money secretly used against us. The problem, from my perspective, has been the deception from those inside the cow suit. Cathy’s funding decisions indicate that he doesn’t really believe all his customers are equal, nor does he believe that all should be free, like he is, to self-direct their own hard-earned dollars. He prefers to redistribute the economic power of his LGBT consumers for his own agenda and worldview. (For the record: I am a lifelong Southerner; a fiscally conservative business owner; an intellectual, open-hearted Christian; a gay man whose parents have been married 49 years; and a former Chick-fil-A “raving” fan).
With just a few poignant radio broadcasts conservatives all across the country responded to this bigotry and attack on free speech from the left in a big way yesterday. And I do mean bigotry. The quote above is from a nobody leftist screeching on the Huffington Post but there were many high profile attacks on the restaurant. I like to use quotes from irrelevant liberals because they don’t hold anything back. They say exactly what liberal politicians and commentators would like to say if they didn’t have to worry about losing their lucrative contracts and positions of power.
Vincent Gray, the embattled mayor of DC who is facing an indictment for curruption, called Chick-Fil-A “hate chicken” and promised to try and prevent the restaurant from coming into DC (even though there are no plans at the moment to do so). Rahm “The Godfather” Emanuel said Chick-Fil-A’s values, which embrace free speech and Christianity, are not the values shared by Chicagoans. Similar asinine statements and bloviating was made by mayors in Boston, San Fransisco and by others.
The left simply cannot compete with ideas and passion. They must resort to verbal abuse and chicanery in order to win public policy decisions. On the gay marriage debate yesterday proved there are more activists for traditional marriage in this country. It will be further proved when the leftists have a pitiful gay kiss-in on Friday. I wonder if Vincent Gray or Rahm Emanuel will participate? Maybe they can go together? Try to un-remember that image!
There is nothing wrong with opposing gay marriage and people have a right to stand up for what they believe. The Chick-Fil-A incident is about equality though. The left believes conservatives do not have the equal right to say whatever they want or stand up for an opposing viewpoint. If they did then there wouldn’t be such hateful attacks on Dan Cathy, traditional marriage supporters, or conservatives. The fact is their liberal ideology is destructive, hateful, and ignorant. They support a regressive social agenda that trounces upon tradition and family values. Look, support whatever radical authoritarian agenda you want, just leave us the hell alone.
This is a picture I took yesterday as I waited over an hour to get dinner at my local Chick-Fil-A. The line was out the door well into the parking lot. I didn’t see anyone leave even after the rain and lightning started. Present your prescription for our society to the people and we’ll do the same. Let the majority win.
