I could’ve told you that before doing a study:
Hybrid sales have been surging as fuel prices take their latest run towards record levels. But the news might not be nearly as good as it would seem if a new study by R.L. Polk is any indication.
Despite previous sales surges tied to past petroleum price hikes the U.S. hybrid vehicle market hasn’t been able to maintain its momentum and the Polk study apparently explains why. After living with the high-mileage technology, nearly two of three hybrid owners wind up returning to a more conventional vehicle when it’s time to trade in.
If you ever need an example of the faulty logic of liberals, look no further than the green movement. Specifically, look at their obsession over hybrid cars. Here is an automobile that can barely go a few miles completely on electricity, costs tens of thousands more than almost every other type of vehicle on the market, and takes hours to days to charge.
If fuel efficiency is such a concern then how does it make any sense to spend $50,000 on a car? Couldn’t you buy a used SUV for $10,000 and still never spend close to that other $40,000 on gas?
Not to mention hybrids on the market are uglier than homemade sin. This of course is by design because hybrid buyers WANT others to know how eco-friendly and better you are than the common folk.
So instead of trying to show off, go out and buy that awesome SUV or your dream car that you always fantasize about. Hybrid owners are…
