It’s important to remember that the Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow’s of MSNBC aren’t the only liberal hacks at the network. Such ignorance is rampant throughout the entire company, even in the so-called “news” division. Contessa Brewer earns Buffoon of the Week for her now famous exchange with Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) when she declares that only someone with a higher degree in economics could have any plausible understanding of the economy. Coincidentally, Contessa Brewer has a degree in journalism – not economics.

“Brooks actually has three degrees: political science, economics, and law. As a lawyer, Brooks would have been experienced enough not to make Brewer’s mistake in a cross-examination, which is to ask a question without first knowing the answer. Not only that, but Brewer was being flat-out rude as well as foolish; MSNBC invited Brooks to appear to get his perspective on the issues. If their hosts respond by belittling them (whether it backfires or not), what does that say about MSNBC, its management, and the kind of invitations they make?”

What it says about the network is they’re unprofessional, extremely biased, and amateurish. If the management had any sense of journalistic integrity then they’d fire every Contessa Brewer-Chris Matthews-Rachel Maddow type and get some respectable journalists. Of course they won’t because they’re too busy fighting with CNN for the scraps of the liberal audience that won’t watch Fox News, the undisputed leader in network news.
